Last weekend, 20–21 December 2025, I visited Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh for WordCamp Bhopal 2025, a two-day event held at Courtyard by Marriott.
WordCamp Bhopal 2025 Day 1: Contribution Day – Learning, Giving Back & Fun
The first day was Contribution Day, where people contributed to multiple WordPress teams such as Photos, Polyglots, Community, Core, Test, and more.
Many of them were first-time contributors, along with many regular WordPress enthusiasts who contribute consistently to the WordPress ecosystem. It was great to see such active participation and enthusiasm.
After the contribution sessions, we had a group photo, followed by food, which was really good.
One new thing that happened on Contribution Day—and something I personally liked and appreciated the most—was games. People enjoyed it a lot, and it added a fun and refreshing vibe to the day.
In the evening, there was a Networking Dinner for organizers, volunteers, speakers, pro attendees, and media partners.
The purpose of this dinner was to get to know each other better so that everyone understands their roles clearly on the actual event day.
WordCamp Bhopal 2025 Day 2: Event Day
Time was ticking, and now it was 21st December — the actual event day of WordCamp Bhopal 2025.
Due to some reasons, I was late by around one hour, but once I arrived, I started exploring things as a Media Partner.
First, I met almost every sponsor, along with other attendees, to inform them about feedback videos or interview recordings.
The purpose was simply to inform them in advance, because sometimes people are not ready to record videos instantly.
Finally, I recorded many videos and tried to understand the value of the event from their perspective.
During these discussions, I met a few people who recognized the “WPSimplified WordPress Training Program”, and they really appreciated it. That felt great.
I also met a few people with whom I can collaborate and create new things around the WordPress ecosystem.
Hope it works out in the future 🤞
We also distributed WPSimplified swags to the facilitators of the WordPress Training Program and captured the moment with a group picture.

Food & Sessions
Lunch was well planned, and people really enjoyed the food. Although I couldn’t record any food reviews because I was also hungry at the time 😂 But honestly, the food was really good and well organized.

Talking about the sessions, they were well planned and engaging. There was a panel discussion around AI, SEO, Content Creation, and Ads, which many people loved. Some topics were quite deep and needed time to process.
After all the sessions, there was a closing ceremony, where the team thanked everyone and presented mementos.
The WordCamp Kolhapur and WordCamp Asia teams were also invited to talk about their upcoming events.
After Party & Wrap-up
After everything, everyone enjoyed the after-party and continued with their further plans. Some people planned to go back home, while others decided to stay in Bhopal and explore the city.

Honest Feedback (Conclusion)
Finally, it’s tough to give completely honest feedback, and writing this blog was not easy for me, but I’ll try my best to summarize my thoughts below:
- Food and venue were both very good and well planned.
- Contribution Day was engaging and valuable, and the games were super fantastic.
- Sessions were informative and well organized.
- The closing ceremony and memento distribution were thoughtful, and with a bit more planning they can feel even more impactful.
Overall, WordCamp Bhopal 2025 was a great experience, and I’m happy to be part of it as a Media Partner.
